Simon Diggelmann
Simon Diggelmann brings over 20 years of aviation expertise and a proven record in aircraft transactions. He has held senior roles across sales, advisory, and fleet management for owners & operators.
In the Asia Pacific, Simon has led corporate jet and regional airliner deals, supported a 121 Air Operator Certificate in Hong Kong, and advised family offices, law firms, banks, and a sovereign wealth fund on aviation investments.
Previously, he managed an aviation consulting firm in Europe, overseeing aircraft portfolios for top banks, private equity funds, and government agencies. Earlier, he managed Gulfstream and Bombardier Global fleets for the world’s largest aluminum producer.
Simon started his career with a four-year avionics engineering program, holds an EASA B1/C license with Airbus and Gulfstream type ratings, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Irish Law Society.
His deep industry knowledge and global network underpin Silk Wings Aviation’s commitment to delivering first-class aviation solutions.

Recognized as a trusted advisor across the Middle East and Europe, he has developed a proven track record of delivering value-driven results for clients navigating complex aviation markets.
A career highlight includes the successful sale of 24 aircraft in a single year across the Middle East — a testament to his exceptional sales leadership and market insight. Kani has also driven large-scale MRO projects, supporting aircraft owners and operators with tailored technical solutions.
His experience spans senior positions at respected brands including Jet Aviation and Lufthansa, where he further strengthened his strategic and operational skills. Kani holds an engineering degree in aerospace from the University of Stuttgart, providing a solid technical foundation for his achievements.
